Ansley Park visits the High Museum to view Habsburg Splendor, an exhibit of more than ninety extraordinary masterpieces and rare objects from the imperial collections of the Habsburgs, one of Europe's greatest royal families. Housed today in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, these spectacular treasures, most of which have never before left Austria, demonstrate the immense power and enduring legacy of this former empire. Included are works of art by the world's greatest masters, magnificent objects, armor, gowns and uniforms, and finally, a golden horse drawn carriage!

We will gather at the High at 6:15 for a brief and informative discussion by Julia Forbes , Head of Museum Interpretation.  After enjoying the galleries we will adjourn to the home of Mary-Ellen Vian at Colony House Apt 1204 for drinks, snacks and conversation.
