Neel Reid Houses on Tour:

218 Fifteenth St., Home of Mary and Barksdale Collins
c. 1911 in the American Georgian style. Has 2 pairs of matching french doors on front for balance and symmetry.
 
Reid House Condominium, Unit #103 Home of George Lanier
c. 1923-1924 Georgian Classical design. Originally called the Garrison Apartments. Mr Lanier's unit was decorated by the interior designer David Byers.
 
17 Inman Cir., Home of Susan Branch
c. 1915 in the Colonial Revival style. Red brick with white trim Jeffersonian manner featuring a one story classical front porch.
 
109 Peachtree Cir., Home of Gail and Barry Spurlock
c. 1921. Has a new-classical federal feel. Is an excellent example of Reid's ability to give his smaller houses imaginative designs and unexpected largeness of scale.
 
132 Peachtree Cir., Home of Don Easterling and Michael Proctor
c. 1911 A Georgian Italianate Revival. Surrounded by a brick lattice wall and an English garden.
 
262 The Prado, Home of Bill Lowe
c. 1910 a Tudor adaptation with an asymetrical design. The home is actually placed vertical on the lot to maximize square footage of the home.
 
230 The Prado , Home of Kathy and Pete Hendricks
c. 1913 A Dutch Colonial sits nicely on a large hill. Large scaled plaster columns along the front porch. A lost Neel Reid recently discovered.
 
One South Prado Condominium, The Della Manta, Unit #3 once owned by Margaret Mitchell now home of Jim Borum and Quinn Brack
c. 1917 The Della Manta Apartments are of American Georgian design. This unit is where Margaret Mitchell lived the last 10 years of her life. See also where the original manuscript of Gone With The Wind was destroyed in the boiler room of the building.
